Q: Does anyone know if I can buy Arthrotec 75 in China?
My mom has very severe arthrorheumatism. Arthrotec 50 or 75 does help a lot on controling pain.
A: this is diclofenac, also known as voltaren in some other countries. essentially it is an NSAID, advil, aleve, mobic, motrin, ibuprofen, brufen, are all the same, there are many more. Celebrex is better since it is not as hard on the stomach, good luck
Q: Arthrotec is listed as non-formulary by my insurance. What other drugs are used for arthritis?
Formulary is 2 times more than generic.
Arthritis is 4 times more that generic (Non-formulary).
A: Celebrex. You could call Walmart or go to WalMart.com and get a copy of their $4 rx list and take that to your doctor and make him prescribe you something off of that. So; you could afford it whether your insurance approved it or not.
Q: Is anyone familiar with the prescription drug called Arthrotec?
A: Arthrotec is diclofenac and misoprostol.
Diclofenac is in a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Diclofenac works by reducing substances that cause inflammation and pain in the body.
Misoprostol replaces protective substances in your stomach that are inhibited by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and aspirin.
It's easier on your stomach than aspirin, advil, etc because of the misoprostol.
Q: can i give my lab with swollen knee joint half a arthrotec i take these for myself?
A: even if your lab weighs half your weight, half a little pill can kill him, with many medications.
Your vet can suggest the best treatment, some vets have therapeautic pools, there's a lot of new treatments out there now.
Q: Can I take Arthrotec and Prilosec together?
A: Call a pharmacist at your local store, they can tell you that info and make sure if you are taking anything else that you let them know that too. They are a great tool to use if you can't call your Dr. or get a hold of them.
Q: What is arthrotec(medication) used for?
A: Arthrotec is a combination of an anti-inflammatory (like Motrin, Aleve, etc.) and another drug that works to protect the stomach. The reason for the other drug is because anti-inflammatories can really irritate the stomach. Anti-inflammatories are used to a large range of pain, like arthritis. Basically any type of pain you would use Aleve or Ibuprofen for. Make sure you do not take any anti-inflammatories on an empty stomach, that will just add to stomach problems (pain, vomiting, nausea, etc.). Hope this helps.
Q: Is there a generic for Arthrotec?
A: NO
Arthrotec
Generic Name: diclofenac and misoprostol ( dye KLOE fen ak and mye so PROST ole)
Brand Names: Arthrotec
Q: Arthrotec user?
I have recently started using arthrotec for inflamation and arthritis.Yesterday I had the worst cramps and diahrea that lasted a while.Has anyone had this problem....it was REAL PAIN in the BUTT ?☺I hope someone answers before my next dose.
A: Call your pharmacist. Whenever anyone has a question or a side effect from medication the best thing to do is to call the pharmacist. They know more than the doctors about what the meds can do to you. This is what they studied. Whenever your not sure even about OTC call the pharmacist.
Q: Arthrotec Side Effects!! PLEASE HELP I'M WORRIED!!?
I have taken my first dose of Arthrotec 75mg tablet along with Lyrica 50mg to help manage back and hip pain due to major surgery over a year ago. I am 21 years old and I am not currentlyon my cycle but I have BAD cramps, even worse then when I am menstrating. I am also having blurred vision. I am usually very tolerable to pain medications as I have taken LOTS to help with pain in the past.
Are these normal side effects? Should I be concerned? Should I discontinue?? I looked on Google for previous cases and I found a few cases of it but it didn't say if it was a normal side effect of the drug.
I am also experiencing a very dry mouth and dry throat.
PLEASE HELP!! ANY INFORMATION IS USEFUL!!
Thanks
A: What are the Common Side Effects Associated with Arthrotec?: Arthrotec has the side effects associated with both of its components (diclofenac sodium and misoprostol).
stomach pain
dyspepsia
nausea
flatulence
diarrhea (which may resolve in up to 7 days)
Q: Will Arthrotec give me a buzz?
Can I get a buzz or a slight "high" from arthrotec? My doctor perscibed these for me for back pain, which makes no sense because I don't have arthritis, but I don't want to take anything that will make me feel weird, so are the a narcotic? addictive?
I am an ex opiate user as well and don't want to fall back into that, but I also don't want my doctor to know...that's why I want to know if they are a narcotic, if so I'll just give them away... I don't like weed, so I don't know what to do to get rid of this pain
A: LOL,,,, they won't do anything,,, if you don't know how to find out if something will get you high or not maybe you should be messing with them,,, you're not going to get any smarter and if you want to get high off those you need to study a little more before messing with anything,, a lot of kids die from taking Rx meds every year,,, is getting buzzed off pain meds worth the risk,,, all you have to do is be allergic,,, you'll die before they get you to a hospital,,, I've seen it!!! I've OD'd before,, it's not fun trust me !!!
Be one of the smart ones,,, don't depend on Rx's to get high,, pot is far better and safer,, and cheaper,,, I've seen people trying to catch a buzz off opiates ruin their lives,,,, I'm one of them
If all you are after is a 'slight' buzz hold your breath until you pass out,, that will give you a slight buzz,,, and you'll still be alive no matter how much you do it!!
Q: Does anyone have neuropathy in their arm?
My neuroligist says the aching pain in my right arm is probably neuropathy. This was a month ago and I`ve been taking Neurontin 600 mg 3 times a day,Arthrotec 75 mg 2 times a day and Ultram ER 300mg 1 time a day and everyday my pain is getting worse.
Does anyone else have this problem? For how long? What helps with your pain? I`m a wreck because I can`t sleep or eat.
Please only helpful comments .
I just got over cancer surgery. I`m 57 years old.
They just did a CT and said the pain is not from previous cancer in my neck.
A: Yes, I have neuropathy in both hands/arms from nerve damage after years of carpal tunnel surgery. I'm surprised your doctor just diagnosed you with "neuropathy" (which just means you have a disease or abnormality of your nervous system, which is pretty darn vague) and sent you off with prescriptions for pain medication and nothing else. Did the doctor call it "idiopathic" (which means they don't know what the cause is)? If not, they ought to be finding out what is causing the neuropathy, as there may be other things that could help. Find a new doctor and keep trying -- you may also want to locate a pain specialist (your regular doctor can help you with this).
Acupuncture can also be very effective with nerve pain. It is also worth a try.
Q: Asaphen and Arthrotec?
Can taking both medications once be harmful?
Took the Asaphen in conjuction with Altae for high bloodpressure and the other for lower back pain.
Took the Asaphen in conjuction with Altace for high bloodpressure and the other for lower back pain.
A: There is a theoretical interaction in which the aspirin (Asaphen) decreases the blood pressure lowering effect of ramipril (Altace).
The mechanism is that aspirin prevents the body from producing some prostaglandins, which causes its anti-inflammatory effect, but also affects dilation of blood vessels in the kidneys, which is the primary mechanism by which ramipril lowers blood pressure.
That being said, these medications are often used together in patients with heart failure, diabetes, and a history of heart attack, all of which have proven benefits from each of these medications. At normal doses, they should not have a dangerous interaction, but you should let your doctor know if your blood pressure gets out of control.
Q: pain killers that can be taken along side arthrotec 50?
A: , Be save and ask your Doctor or Pharmacist
Q: Is neurotin the proper medicine for me?
Would this medicine be appropiate for me? I have sustained a lower back injury and have two herniated disc the L4 and L5.
The pain medicine I have been taking is Darvocet, Vicodin along with the muscle relaxer Arthrotec, these no longer provide relief for me.
A: Definitely try neurontin. Since the pain you are experiencing is likely nerve compression/damage, traditional pain meds like narcotics are not as effective. Neurontin works differently by "quieting down" nerves that are overactive. I have seen people with nerve related pain have great relief with this medication. Good luck!
Q: Do you have Juvenile Arthritis? : Do you think your drugs work ?
I have JIA and im currently on diclofenac sodium ( arthrotec ) and paracetamol . as you can probably tell i have been diagnosed little over a month, i have been on these for 3 weeks and they r supposed to start working any time now. i wondered what other people had and if they worked ??
A: I was diagnosed two years ago, and am currently on etanercept and hydroxychloroquine. I love my drugs, on which I am pretty much completely functional and without which I can't walk. However, they do take time to take effect: the etanercept didn't build up to full strength until I had been on it for about a month, and one of the drugs I was on previously took eight weeks to take effect (that drug was azathioprine, if you're interested.) Another point of interest: both of my current drugs (and most of my previous ones, with the exceptions of OTC tylenol and prednisone) are DMARDs (Disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs.) You are on an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) and an analgesic. I've taken tylenol (the active ingredient in which is paracetamol/acetominophen) during a bad flare, and found it not hugely helpful, but better than nothing. I've never been on any NSAIDs, so I can't really comment on those. I will say that I love my drugs, particularly the etanercept (with the azathioprine as a close second: I think those two have had the greatest effect for me.)
