Q: Is it ok for my dog to have Mobicox at the same dosage as Metacam?
My poor lab who is almost 13 hasn't been getting around very well lately so our vet decided to try him on Metacam. It is quite expensive so I looked up meloxicam and found that Mobicox is the generic form of meloxicam and is like 1 tenth the cost. Thanks to anyone out there who can help.
A: Metacam is dosed out in those syringes that go by body weigth. Ask your vet to get you a dose and it should be fine.
Q: Can I still use Mobicox (Meloxicam) that is three years old .?
A: after time medication loose there potency so after 3 yrs it may not be as effective as it once was,so personally i would not
Q: In severe pain, please help!?
At random times, I have been getting severe back and abdominal pain. It feels like my middle back, and abdominal muscles are getting tighter and tighter making it hard to breathe and even harder to get comfortable and sleep.
I find that the pain most commonly occurs in the late evening and I have to take a lot of tylenol and mobicox to relieve the pain enough to sleep. It doesn't completely go away when I take the medications.
I don't experience the pain all the time, but at least two nights a week for the past three years.
Does anyone have and idea what it could be?
Please, do not tell me to see a doctor, I am smart enough to do that, just don't have the time to do so at the time. I wont have any time for anything for about three weeks.
Please help!
A: You really should see a doctor. It could be anything from kidney infection, cysts on the ovaries, bladder infection, slipped or bulging disc, etc. I have rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and diabetes. I experience the same thing all the time but I went to the doc and found out I have two bulging discs and osteoarthritis in my back. If you don't have time to go now I would try alieve, it works better than tylenol and is longer lasting, however you can't take motrin too. I am not a doc or anything just giving my advice as a person who has the same experience.
