Does Seroquel cause your skin to break out?
I started taking it in January. I took 25 mg every night.
I have realized that when I started taking it, my face started breaking out.
I quit taking Seroquel a few days ago and I have noticed that my skin is starting to clear up.
Does seroquel cause your skin to break out?
A: I obtained these side effects from the website, but anything is possible.
Check with your doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience diarrhea, vomiting, unsteadiness, difficulty walking, or unusual muscle weakness.
This medicine can cause the following side effects:

This medicine may increase blood sugar (hyperglycemia). Diabetic patients should be cautious of this and regularly check their blood sugar.
Q: seroquel???
i have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder and i'm taking clonazepan for anxiety paxil for depression a nd seroquel to stop my through of suicide but right after i'm take it i feel like and i'm in anothe planet my suicidal throught increase and i feel phycotic and like im going crazy i'm taking 100 mg i call my doctor and nobody is listenning to me!!! i have been on seroquel for a little more than a week!!
A: I understand, truly I do.
I was put on Seroquel once too and it wasn't a good drug for me....I was then taken off it completely.
The important thing is that you talk immediately to a professional...either your doctor or visit the local emergency room of a hospital.
Of course, these things always happen on a weekend, as this has....but help is there and it doesn't mean you'll end up in a Psyc ward either.
If you're admitted for a day or two at the hospital, till they can find your doctor, consider it a rest and enjoy the food.
I'll be praying for you.
Q: What does anybody know about seroquel and paranoia?
I know someone that has just started taking seroquel and they are keeping all of the shades drawn and seem to be under some sort of lockdown. Does seroquel cause increased paranoia with it's use in the first stages? She is taking 300 mg per day at bedtime.
A: The short answer is possibly.
Seroquel is an anti-psychotic. The underlying condition could also be causing the paranoia.
It sounds like you are the caregiver for this person. You need to speak to a pharmacist of doctor. Also, make certain you mention the dosage.
Hang in there.
Q: How long does Seroquel take to wear off?
I just got the script today and started to have feeling of worthlessness
kept thinking about hurting myself, as in taking the entire bottle of pills. I only took 25 mg of the Seroquel( i am prescribed 200mg) .And now I am really tired and dopey. How long should I expect to be feeling this way?
A: I've been on Seroquel for over a year now. It takes a while to get used to it. My doc started me on 25 mg/day at first and adjusted it slowly. Whatever you do, don't abruptly stop taking it. I felt real sedated at first, and even now I wake up a bit groggy for the first hour or so.
Talk to your doctor right away about your feelings. The med's are supposed to help, but your doctor needs to know how you are feeling. There are dozens of medications because some work well for some people but not for others.
Q: How long does Seroquel stay in your system after stopping use?
I was on Seroquel for about 7 days to treat my Borderline Personality Disorder. I woke up everyday depressed and suicidal, and it got worse as the days went on. I stopped taking it, and today I feel a lot better. I've only been off of it for one day now. I want to know when it will be completely out of my system. Is it still affecting me at all? I was on it for such a short period of time, I am unsure.
A: Seroquel has a short half life and will be completely out of your system in a couple days.
When I was on Olanzapine it made me very depressed and I tried to commit suicide.
Q: What could you mix with seroquel to get high?
I am perscribed seroquel, so im wondering what i could take with it to get high.
A: heard of the word V-O-D-K-A??
kidding.. don't mix up anything, book a ticket to amsterdam! :))
Okay jokes apart, i don't think you should be mixing prescribed drugs with anything just to get high.. Since there are really rare chances that the other thing won't have any side effects especally when mixed with a prescribed drug.
Q: What are the effects of Seroquel and does it really work?
What are the effects of seroquel and does it really work?
A: may cause drowsiness, dizzyness, constipation or dry mouth. it also may raise blood sugar if diabetes is a concern. they use it to control manic phases of bipolar or delusions, among other things. but it works for me. i've been on it for over 2 years and i think it's the best thing i've ever taken.
Q: What are the differences between Seroquel and seroquel XR?
I just got switched from seroquel 400mg to seroquel XR 400 mg. I also take Effexor 150 mg and remeron 30 mg all before bed. I just want to know what the difference is I am not sure I understand.
A: Seroquel and Seroquel XR are the same product but the XR is time released over a 24 hour period. I would imagine it also spreads the sleepiness over 24 hours as well. I am on 325mg and looking to increase it to 400mg. At times during the day I find myself in a fog. I also feel addicted to this product in a few ways. I've been on Seroquel for 4 years, slowly increasing the dosage due to sleepy side effects. It takes months for the level of dosage to work properly so be patient.
Q: Any suggestions on how to combat hangover effects from Seroquel?
I am currently taking 300 mg of Seroquel, 100 mg of Lamictol, and 500 mg of Dilantin. I wake up in the morning dragging pretty badly, which lasts for several hours. I've been told that it is likely the seroquel that is causing it. Since it has worked for my bipolar disorder, my doctor is hesitant to take me off of it. Any thoughts on how I can prevent the after effects?
A: I, too, went through the hangover effect when I started taking Seroquel about 5 years ago. What the other posters are saying is the only thing that worked for me, and that was taking it earlier if you only take it for bedtime. I, now, take mine at 8pm, for a bedtime of 10:30. I do not have the hangover effect anymore, unless I take it late....then the hangover still comes.
If taking it earlier doesn't help, talk to your doctor about reducing the dose, even by 25mg sometimes can make a tremendous difference.
Good Luck

Q: How long does it take for Seroquel to start working?
My mom started on Seroquel last week for confusion, paranoia, delusions, etc. She became this way after her liver enzymes got REALLY elevated due to a chemo she was on. Her liver enzymes are now normal, but her confusion and paranoia have not gone away. She was on 25 mg per day for 3 days, 50 mg for 2 days and is now on 100 mg at night and 25 mg in the afternoon (125 mg total). Although she has not been on it but a week, I have seen no improvement. The only thing that has improved is that she sleeps at night. She is so anxious due to the paranoia. Can anyone give me some advice or experience on how long this will take to see improvement? Thanks.
A: Hi, I've been on Seroquel for years, so maybe I can shed some light on it.
Seroquel, like most anti-psychotic medications, can take over a month to fully enter your system and for you to feel the full effects of the drug.
It's good that she's sleeping at night again, and Seroquel is definitely good for that, it will knock you out completely, even in lower doses.
Keep an eye on her, but keep in mind that it might take a month or longer for her to feel the effects of the mediction.

Q: Is the seroquel good for my psycosis?
I am schizophrenic and in 300 mg seroquel daily since 6 months. I feel when I take the full dosage regularly that I am a little bet psychotic. However, when I reduce the dosage I become better. Is that because of the antihistamine property of the seroquel?
A: I recommend consulting with your doctor asap. It is not safe to change the doses of your medication without consulting with your doctor first. Call your doctor tomorrow AM and until then take your medication as prescribed. If you are worried about a change in symptoms keep a journal of what is happening (when, time, date, what happened bf and after, etc) to show your doctor.
Good luck,

Q: How much dosage of seroquel for maintenance bipolar l?
I'm on seroquel medicine and i'm interested to know if someone else is taking it; how much dosage are you on. I'm interested to know only if you are on maintenance dose for bipolar l .
A: My daughter takes 600 mg of Lithium daily for Bipolar. She started taking 200 mg of Seroquel at night and it helped her sleep at night and it stopped her mind racing. She now takes 25 mg daily. She tends to be manic so it helps her. Too much can be too sedating for a lot of people.
Q: Can someone please tell me the difference between sinequan and seroquel?
I ran out of my Sinequan to go to sleep till tommorw but a friend gave me seroquel . She said that helps her sleep but i don't feel nothing yet...Whats the difference between the to will it help me sleep????
A: Sinequan is an antidepressant, whilst Seroquel is an antipsychotic.
DO NOT take somebody else's medication.
Q: What kind of diet pills are safe to take with seroquel?
I do exercise but its hard to lose weight when my meds cause me to gain. Please only answer if you are knowledgeble with seroquel.
A: If you're taking seroquel for bipolar disorder, there is no sate diet pill. They are all very likely to induce a manic episode. You might try another antipsychotic like Abilify. I don't think it's as bad about making you hungry. Zyprexa is the worst. Good luck.
